In 2005, Andrew decided to move from Washington, DC to Costa Rica and refurbish and re-open Angel Valley Farm Bed & Breakfast. Andrew, a former travel industry executive, spent months working to re-introduce Angel Valley Farm B&B to former guests and to greet new guests. The result is a homey, fun and quaint B&B and farm. Capturing the charm of year’s gone by blended with modern conveniences and amenities, the B&B merges into nature rather than imposing on it.
You’ll get a sense as soon as you arrive of the large, hard working Costa Rican family that once lived here. They worked the land and lived the good life. You will be amazed at the incredible vistas, trees, plants, gardens and wildlife right from the front patio of our home.
Perched in the midst of an incredible cloud forest and a growing neighborhood of expatriates in Costa Rica’s prosperous “Central Valley,” just 40 minutes north/northwest from San Jose’s international airport, the newly remodeled Angel Valley Farm B&B comes complete with postcard-perfect scenery and much to do. Enjoy terrific food, take in local attractions, watch the many exotic birds swooping in and out of the area, take a dip in a local waterfall and river, just relax on a hammock, hike, ride horses, make new friends or simply to re-energize the body and soul. Andrew also runs “Boomers in Costa Rica Tours,” a 4-day/3-night tour of the Central Valley. The tour, while aimed at baby boomers (just like Andrew!) who are considering retirement options in Costa Rica, is open to everyone. His tour helps people get a good feel of the various towns in the Central Valley, find value-priced real estate, and most importantly, introduces clients to honest people involved in tourism, real estate, other businesses, or just darn nice people who have already made the move here.
